1.2 Form of ownership, legal and management structure

ERGO International AG, part of Munich Re, one of the largest reinsurers in the world, owns 100% of ERGO Hestia. Our head office is located in Sopot at 1 Hestia Street; in addition, we conduct our operations in three buildings in Gdańsk. We conduct insurance operations in Poland under the names Sopockie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń ERGO Hestia SA and Sopockie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie ERGO Hestia SA. These activities are conducted through 21 retail and 8 corporate representative offices. We do not have branches abroad but we have notified the supervisory authority of the possibility of carrying out insurance activity otherwise than through a branch in Poland (in the European Union). These activities represent a negligible part of our portfolio.

The management bodies of STU ERGO Hestia SA and STUnŻ ERGO Hestia SA are the General Meeting, the Supervisory Board, and the Management Board.

organisation and management of the loss adjustment process,
establishment and monitoring of an Internal Audit Function and a system for controlling the quality of the Company’s operations,
management of the retail business lines and customer segments entrusted by the Management Board,
development of the Company’s CSR policy.
