For eleven years now, the Personal Injury Rehabilitation and Support Centre has been successfully changing Polish standards of rehabilitation after accidents, a project unique on a national scale. Faced with the most serious injuries of severe accident victims, it restores them to health and function in society by providing comprehensive medical, social and vocational support.
In 2021, the ICF methodology developed by the World Health Organisation for describing human functioning and limitations was implemented into the medical rehabilitation process for injured persons. It is a tool which organises information in an easily accessible, logical, standardised way in the medical community. In addition, in cooperation with the Integralia Foundation, a number of vocational activation processes were implemented on the basis of the Central Institute for Labour Protection’s research into injured people.
The Personal Injury Rehabilitation and Support Centre has been awarded the Social Responsibility Mark 2021 by Media Publicity Group for building corporate social responsibility in the insurance market, being sensitive to people with disabilities and fostering social inclusion.
