The total economic impact of the ERGO Hestia Group companies on the socio-economic environment is the sum of direct, indirect and induced impacts.
Direct impact – resulting from the ERGO Hestia Group’s direct activities in the economy.
Indirect impact – through the increased activity of the ERGO Hestia Group, business partners and suppliers employ additional people to whom they pay salaries and generate additional added value in the economy.
Induced impact – people employed by the ERGO Hestia Group and employees working for business partners and suppliers whose work is indirectly dependent on the ERGO Hestia Group’s activities, with the remuneration they receive for their work, buy consumer and investment goods, thus generating demand in the economy as a whole.
Fiscal impact – the amount of taxes paid by the ERGO Hestia Group to the local or state budget.

1. The gross value added of indirect impact in 2020 has been updated with new indicators of labour productivity in industry measured by gross value added per employee, published by the GUS (GUS, 2021. Rocznik Statystyczny Przemysłu). After the update, the gross value added of indirect impact in 2020 was PLN 727 million.
2. The gross value added of induced impact in 2020 was updated with the new industrial labour productivity indicators measured by gross value added per employee, published by the the GUS (GUS, 2021. Rocznik Statystyczny Przemysłu). After the update, the gross value added of induced impact in 2020 amounted to PLN 143 million.
