These documents are available to every employee on our intranet or directly from individual departments. They form the basis of many procedures, and their elements are integrated into criteria and information addressed to external stakeholders such as suppliers. Our aim is to create a friendly working environment, to comply with the law and internal procedures in our conduct, and to respond to any irregularities.
100% of new suppliers going through the tendering process have signed the Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Contractors or provided relevant documents referring to their corporate principles, codes of ethics or codes of conduct, thus respecting the human rights provisions.

Since 2008, ERGO Hestia has had in place a system for reporting suspected irregularities (Whistleblowing) which allows employees to report anonymously or non-anonymously suspected, observed or experienced non-compliances with the Code of Ethics. Suspicions and reports can be lodged by phone, SMS or email. The system ensures full protection of the whistleblower’s personal data.
Conflicts of interests are managed at the general level through the inclusion of appropriate provisions in the Work Regulations which bind all employees. This level covers overlaps of private and business interests in the context of employment. Conflicts of interest at the specific level concern the distribution of insurance and apply to ERGO Hestia’s employees under internal legislation.
All employees receive training on the principles included in the “Code of Conduct for ERGO Hestia employees”. Training at the general level is part of onboarding training and is repeated every two years as part of refresher training. As of 2020, training has been offered online to all employees. Extended level training focused on anti-corruption in ERGO Hestia in a comprehensive manner is delivered periodically for employees who are directly exposed to such risks.
