The key pillars of the ERGO Hestia Group’s 2021-2023 Sustainability Strategy “The Power of Information and the Power of Community” include responsibility in relation to maintenance of responsible partnerships and ensuring access to knowledge in the day-to-day cooperation with agents and brokers, as well as the operation of partners throughout the supply chain in line with the principles of social responsibility at each stage of the production, distribution and consumption of products and services.
Openness, clear and legible communication, cooperation and mutual support is what sets us apart in the insurance market.
Agent Ombudsperson
We are the only insurer in Poland to offer unique support to our intermediaries in non-standard cases. Since 2017, our Agent Ombudsperson has been helping agents with difficult cases involving cooperation with ERGO Hestia as well as customer relations. On the basis of an analysis of notifications received from agents, the Agent Ombudsperson initiates and conducts activities to improve the quality of cooperation and optimise the sales process. The effectiveness of the Agent Ombudsperson’s efforts is reflected in the number of changes implemented in the above-mentioned areas.

Agent Network Certification Programme
One of the key solutions which help insurance intermediaries to gain skills and expand their offerings is the Agent Network Certification Programme initiated in 2020. It lays the foundation for an ongoing enhancement of relationships with our business partners; in this way, we support and help them grow, act as a visionary, take the long view, share our observations and help them prepare for the future.
Participation in the programme enables agents to have significantly more powers than the market standard provides. Powers related to both retail and corporate insurance significantly increase the decision-making authority of insurance agents working with ERGO Hestia.
The programme consists of three levels, and they are graded by increasing the number of authorisations held. Agents undergo intensive training ending with an examination and the award of the Insurance Knowledge Certificate at Gamma (Γγ) level, which represents membership of an elite group of professional insurance advisers. Above all, the certificate entitles them to a wide range of authority and powers, including access to our state-of-the-art ERGO Biznes platform.

ARGO Programme: agent development with ERGO Hestia
The ARGO Training Programme dedicated to agents is one of the initiatives most appreciated by our business partners. The aim of the ARGO Programme is to build a community of insurance advisers offering the Highest Standard of Protection, taking care of customers by accurately identifying insurance needs and skilfully selecting the right insurance cover.
iPunkt application
Implemented in mid-2020, the mobile app was created for insurance intermediaries working with ERGO Hestia. It allows intermediaries to take part in sales competitions and collect virtual coins. The funds collected can be converted into zlotys, which will automatically be transferred to a special prepaid card. The programme allows us to support sales in the business lines. This motivates intermediaries to expand the range of products they offer, resulting in better financial performance. In the course of the year, the application gained many new features, such as quizzes and surveys.
In October 2021, we presented agents with a new matrix system for selling business insurance, leveraging the best from the iHestia sales system and giving the agents much better access to corporate insurance products. We believe that ERGO Biznes is a game-changer in thinking about selling insurance to businesses.
Until now, a major limitation in selling corporate insurance was its complexity. At ERGO Biznes, we have managed to present the products in a simple and transparent way. The technologies used support agents in risk assessment and tariffication, as well as in preparing offers and servicing policies. With ERGO Biznes, intermediaries can present product offers for different business sectors.
ERGO Biznes covers 33 products for entrepreneurs and a total of almost 600 additional clauses which allow the intermediary to prepare the policy themselves. The products include state-of-the-art cyber risk insurance, Cyber M and Cyber XL, insurance for photovoltaic systems, as well as coverage tailored to today’s realities of property insurance, electronic equipment insurance and revolutionised liability insurance. As a natural complement to this system, we have tailored two other solutions to create a shared ecosystem: the training scheme Agent Network Certification Programme and the incentive scheme iPunkt

Upgrading products for companies
We are constantly working to modernise and simplify our offering. In 2021, we decided to merge the five existing General Terms and Conditions into a single product and we significantly expanded the basic third-party liability coverage.
This broad standard offer will allow intermediaries to focus on cases where a dedicated offer needs to be built. The guidelines for persons using occupational third-party liability insurance have been redefined to allow customers to select specific dedicated terms and conditions quickly. The modular design of the products allows insurance coverage to be defined with ease.
During the 23rd Brokers’ Congress which took place after a one-year break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we received the Fair Play award for the 13th time in the history of the competition.
Brokers rate insurance companies operating on the Polish market for their professional ethics, modern IT systems and timely response to enquiries, highlighting the importance of trust and relationships in everyday cooperation.
