We are diverse and that is our strength. We support and promote a culture of diversity every day. Since the inception of our company, diversity has been a fundamental value that underlies ERGO Hestia’s organisational culture. Since 2016, we have been a signatory of the Diversity Charter in Poland, an international initiative supported by the European Commission. We thus belong to the group of companies which develop and implement projects aimed at promoting, integrating and incorporating the idea of diversity into everyday business practice.

In addition to external guidelines, the internal document governing this area of our business is the Diversity Policy which details 10 commitments, including ensuring safety, protection against discrimination on various grounds, professional activation of people with disabilities and employee development at both professional and personal levels.
We place particular emphasis on a policy of equal treatment irrespective of gender, age, disability, health, race, nationality, religion, irreligion, political opinion, union membership, psychosexual orientation, family status, lifestyle, form, scope and basis of employment and other grounds that may give rise to discriminatory behaviour.

December 2021 saw the launch of the next edition of the “Ja też” [Me Too] Campaign, a programme aimed at ERGO Hestia employees, carried out in cooperation with the Integralia Foundation and the Healthy Employee Centre. The aim of the campaign is to encourage employees with disabilities to make use of their rights, additional benefits and assistance in applying for a disability certificate. We are also keen to raise awareness among managers and employees about the presence of people with disabilities in the workplace, their rights and needs, to build managerial competence in diversity management and to mobilise people with disabilities for health prevention.
The project involved employees talking about their disability and encouraging others to make themselves known. The video not only showcases the protagonists’ extraordinary passions and achievements but also confirms that diversity is ERGO Hestia’s strength.
100% of employees trained in 2021 on anti-mobbing, sexual harassment, violence and discrimination (e-learning training including video recordings of speakers)
